Pre-Tertiary Tutoring & Mentoring Program
About
In 2021, the Pre-Tertiary Program will offer two sub-programs:
1. A free Mentoring Program delivered to HSC students; and
2. Paid HSC intensive short courses held over the winter term break.
The Mentoring Program connects high school students with current St Andrew’s College students, who will support HSC students with their studies, as well as provide advice on post-school options including university courses and college options.
The intensive short courses will be run by current Andrew’s students who achieved exceptional results in the HSC. High school students will have the opportunity to participate in these courses which are designed to boost their knowledge on the HSC subject(s), study skills as well as exam preparation.
In 2020:
- 150+ Drews students signed up to be mentors or tutors
- 250+ HSC students signed up for mentoring or tutoring
- We received applications from 80 different schools around Australia
More information on the Intensive Courses will be available in due course. Meanwhile, the College is seeking expression of interest from students who achieved remarkable results in their chosen HSC subject(s). If you are interested in designing and teaching a subject-specific HSC intensive course, please get in touch with Mini (pre-tertiary@standrewscollege.edu.au).
Session Completion Forms
In order to receive leadership points for mentoring or information sessions, you must complete this form at the end of every session:
Students who do not complete the form directly after each session will not receive payment or leadership points.
