At St Andrew’s College we offer several in-house workshops that you can request.
The workshops on offer are as follows:
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
- Networking 101: During college, university, and into your career you will undoubtedly be invited to a number of networking events. However, these can be a daunting prospect if you haven’t had much experience or haven’t learned how to do so effectively. Networking 101 is a workshop on networking etiquette and tips to ensure that you actually achieve the outcomes intended by a networking event and make those crucial connections!
- Resume & Cover Letter writing + Social media presence: An intro workshop in the essentials of resume and cover letter writing. Templates, formatting, as well as ‘Do’s and Don’ts’. This workshop also goes into the importance of building a LinkedIn presence whilst at university and how to go about it.
WELLBEING
- Mental Health First Response: A short, sharp empowering course, which will enhance your knowledge of mental health issues, learn practical skills to support someone who may be having a crisis, and help to reduce stigma.
ARTS
- TBC pending 2024 Head of Creative Arts
The requirements to request an on-demand workshop are as follows:
- A minimum of 5 people to attend
- A time and date to be agreed with the facilitator
- Any changes to be made with a minimum 48 hours notice
