Professional Development Program
The Professional Development Program aims to prepare students for the world of work. The programs being run in 2025 include:
- Industry Insights Networking Events
- Professional Skills Workshops
The Professional Development Program (or “PDP”) is run in conjunction with Student Life, Henry Mitchell the Alumni Secretary (a member of the House Committee) and Hannah Atwell, the Director of Advancement.
Semester 1, 2025 – Skills Workshops
- LinkedIn Basics Skills – Monday 17 March
- Networking 101 – Wednesday 2 April
Semester 1 – Professional Development Industry Evenings
Led by Henry Mitchell our Alumni Secretary and our Advancement Department- we hold Industry-specific networking evenings where we invite back a number of impressive Alumni to connect with, and provide advice to, current students. More industries will feature in Sem 2.
- There will be two concurrent sessions held on May 5
- Law – In the Erickson Rom
- Engineering – In the Senior Common Room
- And two concurrent sessions held on May 12
- Finance – In the Erickson Room
- Medicine – In the Senior Common Room
Semester 2, 2025 – Networking Events
The semester 2 events are currently being finalised but will most likely include:
- Investment Banking
- Creative Arts
- Media, Marketing and Communication
- Politics/International Relations
There will be up to 4 industry-specific Networking Events per semester. Further events details and registration links will be advertised by the Alumni Sec via Facebook.
